My name is Marcus Thune, I am a board-certified Occupational Therapist. I am also a certified lymphedema therapist and LSVT BIG certified with my training being completed through Klose training. I am originally from Bismarck, North Dakota and have been living in Great Falls for over 4 years. I have worked in a variety of settings from outpatient, hand therapy, acute care, ICU, long term care and subacute rehab. I have also worked 6 years as an in-home caregiver prior to becoming a board-certified Occupational Therapist.
Over my years working as an in-home caregiver, I realized there are many environmental barriers within a home that have a major impact on an individual's ability to complete their activities of daily living. I realized how important it is for individuals to be able to safely stay at home while maintaining the highest level of independence. I continued to see the lack of caregiver education, resources for individuals and environmental modifications being neglected within the home. In turn, patients being sent home from the hospital post-surgery or illness without having a skilled OT evaluate the home to maximize safety, prevent falls, and to help your loved one's age in place. Ultimately, my goal is to help you maximize safety and independence in your home.
